Hybrid Electronics Hybrids reduces costs

Hybrid Electronics are price competitive with PCB manufacturers around the world and with other thick film hybrid manufacturers — please ask for an obligation free quote to compare.

A Hybrid shrinks the size of electronic components

Hybrids can reduce the size of a PCB up to 50%.  This is due to electronic components placed on top of printed resistors and due to printed multi-layering circuit design on the hybrid.

A Hybrid withstands heat up to 100oC

The main substrate of a hybrid dissipates heat very effectively. The main substrate is either ceramic, stainless steel or titanium, not a fibreglass board.  Also a hybrid is encapsulated with a protective coating that can stand heat up to 100oC.

The printed resistors also give a hybrid better thermal performance.

A Hybrid works in water or buried in soil

A hybrid is encapsulated with a protective coating that enables it to function in water or buried in soil.  This means that it does not need to be mounted in an hermetic box as would be required for a PCB.

A Hybrid is more robust than a PCB

A hybrid is stronger, more durable and robust than a PCB.  Titanium and stainless steel hybrids can be “bolted on”, welded, bent and formed and have holes added for mounting if required.  A ceramic hybrid is encapsulated with a protective coating, making it more robust than a PCB.

A Hybrid is a custom made circuit

Hybrid Electronics manufacture custom hybrids .  This means one hybrid, for one customer, in one market.  We do not mass produce a hybrid and sell it to different suppliers.

A Hybrid gives you a competitive edge

Custom built hybrids gives you a competitive edge.  Hybrid Electronics has its own patented titanium  (provisional) hybrid technology.  This gives you an exclusive competitive edge in your market.

A Hybrid has up to +/- 0.1% resistor tolerance

Printed resistors on hybrids have up to +/- 0.1% tolerance.  You can not buy resistors “off the shelf” with this tolerance.  We print resistors ranging from ohms to gigohms.  Resistors are trimmed as a ratio with other resistors to give precise circuits.

A Hybrid can replace some/all of a PCB

A hybrid can replace a PCB.  The benefits include  cost reductions, overall reliability of the product, reduce real estate of a PCB by up to 50%, increase performance and intellectual property protection.

A Hybrid gives security against copying

A hybrid is encapsulated with a protective coating.  It is very hard to remove this coating. If attempted, it takes off with it some of the printed circuit design.  The custom circuit design is difficult to copy, especially when multilayering has been used.
